The foundation
The John Taylor foundation for young athletes is a charitable trust set up in 2002
to honour John's memory in a fitting way, through the sport that he loved.
It was registered as a charity, # 1101008, on 3rd December 2003.
The objects of the foundation are:
- The relief of poverty by the provision of financial assistance to young
amateur athletes in the United Kingdom to allow them to pursue opportunities in amateur athletics;
and
- The promotion and preservation of good health by raising public awareness of the condition
of Cardiomyopathy in athletics in the United Kingdom.
